Yokohama Industries Americas to Discontinue Industrial Business
Painesville, OH – Yokohama Industries Americas Inc. (YIA) has announced its decision to discontinue production of its Industrial Products at its manufacturing facility in Painesville, Ohio. The transition is expected to be completed by October 30, 2026.
YIA has proudly manufactured Industrial Products at the site for over 35 years. The decision follows a careful review of the Industrial Business, including market demand, operating costs, and the long-term strategic outlook for the business.
This announcement does not affect the Company's Hose Operations in Painesville. Hose manufacturing will continue at the facility and remains an important part of YIA's long-term strategy to support and grow its Tier One Automotive Hose Assembly business throughout North America, including supplying its manufacturing operations in South Carolina and Mexico.
YIA is committed to working closely with its employees, customers, and business partners to ensure an orderly transition over the coming months. YIA will provide severance per company policy to all full-time employees affected by this decision.
